A game to onboard and train Sebrae employees
About World Cup Sebrae
The National Support Center for Small Businesses (SEBRAE) is a Brazilian entrepreneurship institution whose aim is to foster the development of new ventures, stimulating entrepreneurship throughout the country.
On the verge of Brazil hosting its own World Cup, my team at Nova/SB designed and built an interactive quiz to onboard and train their employees that mimicked a soccer game. We named it World Cup Sebrae (Copa dos Especialistas).

The experience
The digital experience we created was focused on Sebrae’s 7,000 employees across Brazil. The game featured 30 quiz questions and competitive championship round played by teams of 4 to 6 employees. All teams had to answer questions in their groups, and every correct answer was a goal scored!
We had around 250 different questions, which made every match fun and unpredictable. Every week, teams would enter into at least 1 match. Over the next 2 months, the employees were engaged in the game, all fighting to try and win the world cup.

92% of employees engaged in the competition, which was 678% more than expected! The final match was played live at Sebrae's headquarters, and the winning team won a trip to Silicon Valley to visit some of the coolest tech companies in the world.
